Maro works at the intersection of participatory education, collaborative research and collective action. With more than 15 years of experience in strategy development, facilitation and community-centred learning, she has worked with grassroots groups and international organisations alike, including serving as Deputy Director for Amnesty International’s Global Strategy Programme. Maro’s research explores how the politics of time, the ethics of care and post-work theories shape possibilities for more just and sustainable futures. She has collaborated with several universities and civil society networks on projects seeking to unpack how social change happens. Her teaching and facilitation emphasise connected knowing, creative reflection and practices of commoning, inviting participants to rethink how we live, work and care together in times of crisis and transformation.
